Upen Patel seems to be one of the most promising newcomers of late, and looks like film-makers are quite positive on him.

The latest is that Upen is on a bulk deal-signing spree. After Kumar Mangat signed him for ONE TWO THREE, Shree Ashtavinayak Production has signed him for three-film deal. This is yet another feather in Upen’s cap for sure.

After seeing tough days in Bollywood, life seems to be looking up finally for Upen Patel. The British-born actor, who just turned 26, has several promising projects on hand, including in a Suniel Shetty production. Upen celebrated his birthday Friday shooting in Goa for Ashwini Dheer’s comedy “123″.

“I didn’t tell anyone it was my birthday. Didn’t feel the need to. So there was no way the unit would know.

The handsome Upen Patel seems to lead a rather high profile life in Mumbai, and a rather different one back home in the UK.

According to close friends, he’s a mamma’s boy. After his respectable debut in 36 China Town, the Patel hunk couldn’t wait to celebrate his filmi success with his family. So, at the earliest opportunity, he took off to London to visit his parents.

Mama Patel, a British citizen with a political background, is rather proud of her sonny’s achievement. “It seems as if the whole world has changed around me.

Though I’m the same as when I packed my bags and set out to make it in Bollywood, it’s great to be treated like a star on returning home,” he says.

Upen Patel’s career graph is on the rise. And the actor is absolutely overjoyed by it. Even though it has been more than a year since Upen Patel got his foot in the door to tinsel town, he had a hard time winning the confidence of producers in the film industry. It was the success of Namastey London early this year that turned things around in his favour.

Although details on the films are not available, this is yet another feather in Upen’s cap for sure.

Hunk Upen Patel was the first person to befriend Tanisha, and he’s grown so fond of her that he’s quite protective of his new buddy.

He even refutes claims by people who call Tanisha a snob. According to Upen, Tanisha is full of life and warmth on the sets.

Upen Patel is all set to do a comedy for Suniel Shetty’s Popcorn Entertainment .It will star the youngster with Suniel Shetty and Govinda.

“It would be very different from what one would expect three of us to come together for. Am I scared of matching satirical steps with a stalwart like Govina? You bet I am! But I’ve been working with another maestro of mirth Paresh Rawal in 123 .So I’m being trained by the best.”
