Dharmesh Darshan has signed up the hottest newcomer in Bollywood, Upen Patel, for his next film. And he is also holding talks with an international company for co-producing the film that will be shot entirely in the US.

‘Earlier in ‘Raja Hindustani’, ‘Dhadkan’ and ‘Lootere’, I had worked with actors who later turned into bigger stars. Now the challenge is to turn Upen into a full-fledged star. Kangana Ranaut maybe only two films old, but all the appreciation and praise seem to have already gone to her head. Kangana has just done her first typical bollywood masala film where she will be playing a light role in Suneel Darshan’s Shakalaka Boom Boom.

The film also stars Bobby Deol, Upen Patel and Celina Jaitley. However it seems like neither director Suneel Darshan nor his leading lady Kanagana are too happy with each other. After Suneel Darshan, brother Dharmesh Darshan has also signed up Upen Patel for his next project. Now the buzz is Upen has been signed on for a 15-crore budget flick. “A 15-crore budget film?

That’s ridiculous! There are no such concrete plans at all. I do maintain that Upen is like a family member. But absolutely nothing has been finalized as yet,” Dharmesh clarified, when we talked to.

Dharmesh Darshan who has been associated with huge hits like Raja Hindustani, Dhadkan, Lootere has signed up the hottest newcomer in Bollywood Upen Patel in his next film.

Upen & Celina promote ‘Shakalaka Boom Boom’ at Fame Adlabs on 7th April, 2007. Promotions have always been a part and parcel of any movie and this time Upen Patel and Celina Jetley team up for their next movie ‘Shakalaka Boom Boom’ promoting it at Fame Adlabs, Andheri in Mumbai on 7th April, 2007.

Regulars at Fame Adlabs got a chance to meet and speak to the stars. Meanwhile the stars acknowledged their fans by presenting CDs and posters personally autographed by them.
