Born and brought up in London, Upen Patel was studying computer science when he decided to become a model. After winning Zee TV’s supermodel hunt in 2002, Upen modelled for several leading brands and designers. Next, he did music videos, after which he finally made his Bollywood debut in the murder mystery, 36 China Town. His second film, Namastey London, did well but the next few films, including One Two Three and Money Hai to Honey Hai didn’t. However, not willing to be written off so easily, Upen recently surprised everyone with his special appearance in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and his much improved Hindi. A forced break for Upen?

He might have been seen in a special appearance in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, but Upen Patel has pretty
much disappeared from the social sence.

For those who can’t remember, the model-turned-actor was quite a regular on the party circuit. We are told that Upen has been brushing up on his Hindi, but that doesn’t seem to have made any difference to his Bollywood career. All work and no play doesn’t always pay off, right Upen?
