Grapevine has it that Ranbir Kapoor is uncomfortable with model-turned-actor Upen Patel .

Many must be rubbing their eyes in disbelief after reading this. But this is the scoop. The Kapoor lad is learnt to feel awkward with Upen’s presence on the sets of the Rajkumar Santoshi film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani which has Katrina Kaif playing the leading lady whom Ranbir and Upen vie for.

The reason for awkwardness between the two men is not professional, but personal. It is Upen’s history with Ranbir’s present girlfriend Deepika Padukone , whom Upen dated before she catapulted to fame with her Bollywood debut in Om Shanti Om .

Since Ranbir and Upen are working together in ‘Ajab Prem…’, it is inevitable that Deepika would come face-to-face with Upen when she visits Ranbir on the sets or in the hotel where the entire crew is putting up. And if they indeed bump into each other, what if the flames of their old romance, now dead, get kindled again?

It’s a scary thought. But we are sure Ranbir would find his comfort with Deepu’s exes. After all, the persons-to-be-ignored list is not small.
