Apparently, the actor has realized that he can’t stay long in the film industry with his highly accentuated Hindi.
Upen Patel has been making steady strides in Bollywood ever since his debut. And recently he hit a jackpot by signing a number of films with big production houses.
But one thing that could stall the progress of the actor in the long run is his British accent and his inability to dub his own dialogues in Bollywood films. This has been the common problem of all the actors who have come to Bollywood from Britain, be it Katrina Kaif or Upen.
Upen is very well aware of this shortcoming and has been working on his diction for last six months. He has reportedly hired an Urdu teacher who is teaching him right pronunciation and vocabulary in both Urdu and Hindi.
The actor says it is not that he is completely ignorant about these languages, he just needs to develop a right accent in his speech.
Upen is confident that by the end of this year, he should be able to dub his own dialogues in films.
Upen has so far acted in 36 China Town , Namastey London and Shakalaka Boom Boom .
