Britain-born actor Upen Patel had the honor to represent India in Los Angeles. He is one among the luckiest people like Bipasha Basu and Deepika Padukone who were bestowed with such credit. Upen is the first Bollywood actor to join the parade which will take place on August 10. He is quite elated to get the call from Los Angeles. “I believe Bipasha Basu and other Bollywood queens got the honor earlier. So I’m quite delighted”, quips Upen.

Another moment of glory for Upen is his newly constructed house on Pali Hill in Bandra. He is taking suggestion about designing and decorating his abode from Eric Mutheza, a designer from Dubai via internet. “He never personally came down to look at my place. I gave him design specifications on email and he instructed his assistants in Mumbai to do the needful. But it’s turned out beautifully,” Upen said. Upen Patel’s next release Money Hai To Honey Hai seems to have been dominated by Govinda from first till the last frame. However, the young man has reasons to still keep smiling. He has been signed by Bajaj brothers for a film titled Mr Romeo, the shooting for which is expected to start soon.

“I read the script and was zapped,” says Upen for whom this would be his first solo venture. “In fact, I hadn’t even met the director Vishal Bhandari and had been given the script by the producers. It is a nice feel good film about a young man who is searching for true love,” says Upen.

After savoring singelhood since long, cupid has struck actor Upen Patel who has fallen head over heels for Brazalian supermodel Camila Tavares.
The two hotties have been spotted getting intimate at nightclubs, cinemas and the city’s top dinner spots.
Sources told Spicezee that the two accidentally ran into each other at the Italy airport and it was love at first sight. Actor Upen Patel is quite upbeat about teaming up with Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in Rajkumar Santoshi’s next film “Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani”, even though he doesn’t play the lead role.

So what is he doing in a movie that has Ranbir playing the hero?

Upen plays a guy, who is searching for his true love and in the process ends up finding four lovely ladies. He now has to decide on who will be his true love.
